Who's ready to raise some money???

I wanted to give everyone an update on where the book publication process is at. I have signed off on all of the production materials and the actual book itself. I am expecting to have the very FIRST COPY in my hands this Friday. If the book appears to be exactly the way I want it (which judging by the ebook version, it is) then the book will be ready for purchase! I did want to ask everyone out there that has been reading my blog a question. I have gotten so much support from my hometown of Middlesboro, Kentucky, all throughout the Virginia & New Jersey areas, and even out to the U.K., Russia, and even India. It's unbelievable how far this blog has come, especially since January 9th, when Brian Powell created it for me. I actually laughed at him when he even mentioned the idea. Now, 2 months later and over 3,000 views, I want to actually thank someone for coming up with the idea, Brian's girlfriend, Katie. She was the one that thought we should put this together, and even my neurologist loved the idea, so thank you so much Katie for the blog idea. Just another confirmation that Brian isn't as smart and creative as I thought he was....haha, in your face B Powell! So the question, after mumbling on and on: What does everyone think of me doing some book signing events? I have already began making plans to speak at Middlesboro High School, and also do a speaker event/book signing sometime in May, at the Middlesboro Community Center. But, what about where the rest of you readers are at.....any ideas? Please comment below this blog or on my facebook page and let me know what you think! Also, I will be receiving 40 complimentary book copies towards the end of April that I would like to sell for any price that those are willing to pay. As a new member of Team FOX, I would like to set a goal of raising $1,200 for Parkinson's Research for the first 40 copies. Remember, all the money will be going directly to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. I didn't write this book to make money for myself, so I will be donating every penny. Who out there is willing to give $30 for Parkinson's Research?
